Spacious villa for rent with private swimming pool in Tuscany. This villa is just a short distance from the beautiful historic town of San Gimignano.
The house is very big and has the ideal layout for a large group or an extended family. A large lounge area on the first floor with an outdoor patio comfortably caters for guests as well as other large spaces both indoors and outdoors.
The house is furnished in a simple and comfortable fashion. It is composed of a main core with room to sleep 12 guests and an apartment (at the back of the house and not directly linked) with room to sleep 6 guests.
In the surrounding area lie famous cities like San Gimignano, Certaldo, Volterra, Siena and Florence.
A small stretch of dirt road leads to the property.

Main villa (Core)

Ground floor: Large lounge area (150 m2 in size) with living room and dining area (TV) with fireplace, kitchen (double size fridge with two freezers, microwave, dishwasher, oven) with fireplace and access to outside, toilet.
First floor: 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin rooms, 2 bathrooms both with showers, bathroom with shower and washing machine. Each room has access to a communal balcony that runs along the face of the house and boasts a fantastic view out onto Valdesa.
3 steps higher: double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom with shower.
Apartment (accessed from outside or from the terrace, but not via the villa)

Raised ground floor: Entrance into kitchenette (small electric oven, freezer, TV) twin bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms both with showers - one of which is adapted for disabled use.
The apartment is wheelchair accessible via a stair lift.

We have stayed at this villa 4 times over last 15 years, but I was disappointed in this visit in that virtually nothing has been updated or kept up. The Wi-fi is virtually non-existent. the owners came by (daily...too much) and told us the wi-fi was best right by the front door. No wi-fi anywhere else in the house. The kitchen is a mess and needs to be updated desperately. Pots and pans stacked everywhere, microwave doesn't work, coffeemakers that are ancient and poorly working. TV is old and doesn't work well. If you are looking for a terrific view and a good location to get to Chianti, San Gim, Siena, or Firenze, that's great. If you are llooking for something well appointed and comfortable, not the place. uncomforatble beds.

The villa is awesome. San Gimignano with its famous towers is within sight. The villa is perfectly equipped, we were 16 people and there was nothing missing. We bought wine from the owners and were excited.

Es war genial alles in allem! Das Grundstück ist sehr gross, das Schwimmbad wunderschön und unser Lieblingsplatz. Wir konnten alle zusammen draussen und drinnen essen und hätten noch Gäste einladen können, so gross und gut ausgestattet war alles. Das Öl und der Wein der Besitzer sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Nähe zu allem, was man gerne sehen möchte (San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Florenz) ist perfekt. Es ist sehr ruhig, sodass man sich wirklich wunderbar erholen kann.
Wir empfehlen das Haus gerne weiter oder kommen wieder um ein grosses Fest zu feiern.

We were a party of 12 (sie couples) and this Villa was fantastic!! It exceeded our expectations. The photos represent the villa perfectly. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. Appliances worked very well. We loved sitting out by the pool in the evening. The owners were very welcoming and made sure that we had everything that we needed. They were very helpful. It was situated very well for day trips to Pisa, Firenze, Volterra, San Gimi, Siena etc. Save time to enjoy this property though!!
